It’s going to be a battle of the past, present, and future at the box office this weekend, as three new releases are looking for your hard-earned money.

First up, and the film most likely to hit number one at the box office is Downton Abbey. Based on the beloved British series that caught the world by storm during its initial run, Downton Abbey brings the core characters to the big screen for the first time and is going to be super serving the die-hard fan base who have longed for more. Reviews have been solid and Downton Abbey’s popularity has only grown over the years. Look for a first place debut with $26 million.

This weekend also sees the return of Sylvester Stallone in Rambo: Last Blood, the supposed final film in the franchise. There’s not too much insight to the film here – with Rambo, you know what you’re walking into – some serious action set pieces with a load of violence at its core. Rambo is not as iconic a character as Stallone’s Rocky, and its been a long time since solo Sylvester could open a film. Reviews haven’t been kind either, so its unlikely the film will expand beyond action/Sly lovers. Look for a second place debut Rambo: Last Blood with $19 million.

The final noteworthy debut this weekend is director James Gray’s Ad Astra, starring Brad Pitt. The film is an epic science fiction film with a big budget, but its not a franchise. And unlike Pitt’s summer hit, Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood, it doesn’t have a director like Quentin Tarantino to bring in the audience. However, Ad Astra does have good notices which could help its chances. Either way, the film will have to settle for fourth place with $17 million.

As for the rest of the top five, IT: Chapter Two will fall to third place with $18.5 million, while Hustlers will close things out in fifth place with $16 million.

So, to recap, here are our predictions:

1) Downton Abbey – $26 million
2) Rambo: Last Blood – $19 million
3) IT: Chapter Two – $18.5 million
4) Ad Astra – $17 million
5) Hustlers – $16 million

Be sure to check back on Sunday to see how the weekend turns out!
